THE MIRROR EFFECT: UNVEILING THE GIANT WITHIN

THE MIRROR EFFECT: UNVEILING THE GIANT WITHIN

One of the rare privileges I have enjoyed in life is an early consciousness of the need to live a purpose-driven life. I developed an appetite for a constructive life as early as age 14.
Literally, the major actor in this situation was a simple question a public speaker asked us at an extracurricular activity one fateful Wednesday when I was in SS2. He asked us, ‘When you look at your mirror, what do you see?’ An explanation followed the question, but I really didn’t pay attention to that statement because I couldn’t wait for the session to finish. We had a football match after school hours.
Like every normal student, I resumed school the following morning. At the Assembly Ground that morning, my biology teacher illuminated the answer to the question asked by the public speaker the previous day. He asked us specifically, ‘When you stand before the mirror, what do you see? Are you seeing an ordinary you or an extraordinary you? ‘
What a question! That question raised an urgent urge in me to seek an answer. I knew the question was for me.
The Mirror Effect.
Over time, I have come to realize that what we perceive ourselves to be determines what we become. Let me put it like this: Your conviction is your outcome. What notions do you hold about yourself?
Before the hurdles and demands of life, do you see yourself as a grasshopper or a giant? (See Numbers 13:33.).
Long story short, join me as I decipher the mystery of self-perception and its effect on you. I would like to help you see yourself from an entirely different perspective, one that will give you a better impression of who you really are.
