NOW THAT SHE SAID YES, WHAT CHANGED?

NOW THAT SHE SAID YES, WHAT CHANGED?
Just few weeks ago, 'you go slap police for her sake'
Just  few weeks ago, ''you go go to court for her case'.
About a month ago, you were singing, 'wetin I can't do, for my baby my baby'
About a month ago,  you were 'beginning to fall in love'
It's barely been a year since she became your LOML.
It's barely been a year since she became the 'queen of your kingdom'
What changed?
What's wrong with the constant good morning texts?
Why are your good-night messages on sabbatical?
Why do you suddenly get busy?
Why do her calls now come in at the wrong time?
Did you just ask her if she's got anything to do with her life?
Did you just say she's a thorn in your flesh?
What changed overnight?
Oh!  Does love have an expiration date?
It's really sickening how acclaimed love turns sour overnight.  Now that she said yes,  why have you failed to maintain the energy that got her convinced? What happened to the man you claimed to be? Have you done that hard chase only to chatter her fragile heart? Don't be stupid, brother.
I wonder where some guys get the kind of energy they invest when they are trying to get a lady's attention. The vibe and countenance are just too perfect for the other gender, and a serpent could even sweet talk into eating the fruit they were forbidden to eat.  We won't blame them; they are wired uniquely.
But what do we say about these foxes in sheep's clothing?  If you invest your life in convincing a lady only to mess up later, you really need to get something better to do with your life.  If you won't keep her, don't raise her expectations.  Stop proving brave with someone's emotion.  Your daughter will pay for your sins.
I come in peace.

Reading this on a Monday morning was the recalibration I needed. Thank you. I'd pay for a workshop on this exact topic. Please consider it.

Saving this to read again next week. Plenty to unpack. I'm forwarding to my entire team. We need this conversation.
